One of the most unique things to see in Iceland, is the tiny travelling bird called the Puffin (in Icelandic Lundi).

These birds migrate to Iceland in the summer time (May-June), and are quite common on the coast of Iceland. Although most people, when they see pictures of the puffin, think they are quite large birds, when they are in fact quite small. One can easily hold a puffin in your hands.
パフィンは夏（5月、6月）にアイスランドにやって来る、アイスランドの海岸でよく見られる鳥です。たいていの人々はパフィンの写真を見ると大きな鳥だと思いますが、実際はとても小さな鳥で、両手で簡単に包み込める程度の大きさです。

For many years, the puffin has been a staple of the Icelandic birdlife; for its beauty (it is a very popular subject for photographers), its uniqueness and its numbers in Iceland.Iceland has the most puffin colonies, and counts individual birds of more than 10 million.
パフィンは、その美しさ（被写体として写真家に人気があります）、珍しさ、そしてアイスランド内の生息数の点から言って、昔からアイスランドでは主要な鳥となっています。アイスランドは世界で一番パフィンの群生地があり全部で1千万羽以上のパフィンがいます。

You are most likely to see them at the Westmann Islands in Iceland, a beatiful cluster of islands off the south coast of Iceland.
パフィンを見るのに一番適している場所は、アイスランド南海岸沖にある、美しい島々が複数集まってできているウエストマン諸島です。
